The following Women in Leadership course offers a unique blend of psychology, spirituality and conscious leadership for women leaders, and their supporters. Dr Toula Gordillo’s symbolic method of Story Image Therapy (SIT®), and its deeper counterpart, SIT Shadow Work™, empowers women to lead not just through explicit skills or knowledge, but through tacit intuitive understanding. Such increased comprehension can enhance women leaders’ self-awareness, emotional resilience and clarity on their journey of becoming a psychospiritual leader.
The course is divided into five parts, with each section corresponding to the symbolic rooms in a house. Each part of this course has a downloadable e-book. You will need to download each e-book at the start of each section as there will be questions (in the form of a multiple choice quiz) for you to complete based on the information provided in each e-book, as well as each section of the course. In Jungian psychology, the house is a powerful symbol of the Self—our total inner world, made up of both the conscious and unconscious aspects of who we are. In SIT, each room within the house represents a different part of the psyche. Together, they make up the whole person. Building on this idea, SIT Shadow Work™ uses the metaphor of the house to help women explore the full spectrum of their identity as leaders.
By combining their personality, skills and past experiences with their unconscious drives and motivations, the goal of Women in Leadership is for women leaders to develop greater harmony between their internal and external ‘worlds’. That is, the order and chaos within, including their conscious and unconscious leadership in all areas. In SIT®, this development of the Self is referred to as “Finding Harmony in Sylvaheim” (*pronounced silver-home), and it is deemed a worthy achievement.
