1.2- Your Frog & Scorpion Mirror

🌱 How This Activity Helps Women Psychospiritual Leaders:

The following activity reminds women that psychospiritual leadership isn’t just a set of behaviours—it’s a reflection of who we are inside. When your inner Frog and Scorpion are in dialogue and working in harmony, not in conflict, you begin to lead from your whole self. You can then begin to experience less conflict (and less internal stress and pressure) inside yourself or less conflict (and external stress and pressure) with others.

THE ACTIVITY:

After reading Frog and Scorpion in the Boardroom, complete this activity to help you symbolically explore the unconscious sides of your leadership—your inner Frog (empathy, kindness, compassion) and Scorpion (power, ambition, status). By reflecting on these parts, you can begin to lead with more balance, clarity and self-awareness.

🐸 Step 1: Your Frog Self (Heart-Driven Shadow)

Draw or list on the left side of a mirror image:

  • Times you’ve over-given or avoided conflict
  • When care helped or hindered your leadership
  • A word, colour, or symbol for this part of you

🌿 Optional: Draw your Frog Self as a creature of water. What message does it bring? What is it afraid of?

🦂 Step 2: Your Scorpion Self (Head-Driven Shadow)

On the right side of the mirror, draw or list:

  • Times you’ve been reactive, impulsive or too detached
  • How ambition or ego has shaped your choices
  • A word, colour, or image that represents your inner Scorpion

🔥 Optional: Draw your Scorpion Self as a creature of fire. What is it trying to remove or sabotage? What can it potentially destroy?

🔮 Step 3: Integration

In the centre of the mirror, write 1–2 sentences:

  • What would it look like to lead from both care and courage?
  • How can these parts work together?

Example: “I honour both compassion and boundaries in my leadership.”
