How Story Image Therapy Works
Story Image Therapy (SIT®) is comprised of various SIT tools (books, audiobooks, poster images etc.) that are used to deliver important holistic health information. SIT combines art, narrative, philosophy, and psychology into a powerful healing process.
Clients may, for example, begin by drawing a mandala or an image of their “stress story”—a visual representation of what causes them emotional distress in daily life. This image is then gently transformed into a symbolic portrayal of their inner universal adolescent, helping them reconnect with unresolved emotions from youth.
SIT® integrates elements of art therapy, narrative therapy, Stoic and Taoist philosophy, and Jungian symbolism. Metaphor and vivid imagery guide individuals toward insight, emotional release, and deeper self-awareness when used as part of SIT Shadow Work.
