4.3- Leadership Fuel

🌱 How This Activity Helps Women Psychospiritual Leaders:

To help women in leadership symbolically explore their addictive shadow self the unconscious habits, emotional patterns, or inner beliefs that drive them to overwork, numb, or constantly seek validation and to uncover the deeper needs beneath these patterns.

This activity allows women to move beyond surface strategies and into psychospiritual awareness uncovering how their leadership may be subtly shaped by addictive patterns of doing, giving, or escaping. Through art, story, and nature-based reflection, they can begin to shift from external coping to internal connection, leading with more balance, clarity, and emotional sovereignty.

THE ACTIVITY:

✍️ On a blank page, draw the outline of a fuel gauge (like the kind in a car). Label the top as “Full” and the bottom as “Empty.”

Inside the gauge, write or draw what you think fuels your leadership and daily energy. Include:

  • Caffeine? Praise? To-do lists?
  • Control? Helping others? Staying busy?
  • Avoiding emotions? Always saying yes?

Be honest this is your surface fuel, the kind that may get you through the day, but often leaves you depleted or disconnected.

🌑 Part 2: The Shadow Underground – “What Lies Beneath”

Now, underneath the fuel gauge, draw roots extending downward like a tree. These roots represent your addictive shadow the unconscious drivers behind your habits.

Next to each root, reflect and write:

  • What am I afraid will happen if I stop?
  • What emotions or memories am I avoiding?
  • What part of me is seeking relief, love, or control?

Let the answers come without judgment just noticing what lives beneath the surface.

🌬️ Part 3: Elemental Healing – Rebalancing the Fuel

On another page, draw four circles labeled Earth, Water, Fire, Air. These represent healthy, soul-aligned ways to refuel.

  • 🌍 Earth (Grounding): What helps me feel safe and rooted?
  • 💧 Water (Emotion): What supports my emotional flow and rest?
  • 🔥 Fire (Passion): What reignites my inner spark?
  • 🌬️ Air (Clarity): What clears my mind and restores perspective?

Inside each circle, add words, symbols, or drawings that represent sustainable and nourishing ways to support yourself as a leader.

🪞 Reflection Questions:

  1. Which shadow habits do I lean on most when I feel overwhelmed or alone?
  2. What deeper emotional needs are hiding underneath?
  3. What small elemental practice can I commit to this week to support balance?
