They used stories as allegories and\u00a0referred to the Legend of Hercules as a guide\u2026 viewing the demi-god as\u00a0<\/em><em>a <strong>type of role-model<\/strong><\/em><strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>Stoicism forms the foundation of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and modern Stoicism continues to garner evidence for this early philosophy.
